Senior Citizens Ministry

At present the only established activity that the seniors are involved in is the monthly First Friday mass and coffee and donuts afterwards. The seniors attend the 8:00 a.m. mass and have coffee and donuts in the parish hall after mass.

Sacred Heart Parish offers a monthly gathering (during the school year) for seniors known as Young at Heart. They meet the second Monday of each month, September through May. They begin with a communion service in the Church’s chapel at 11:30 a.m. The Communion service is followed by a pitch-in lunch and sometimes a speaker. All “young at heart” parishioners of St. Augustine are invited to attend.
