Marriage Preparation Program
Our marriage preparation program began in April of 1984 with the help of Fr.
Ed Ripperger and four married couples, three of which are still active in this
ministry.
In the almost 20 years the program has been in operation, we have had 52
different married couples who have served the parish as sponsor couples and we
have had 475 engaged couples go through this program. At present time we have 12
active married couples serving as sponsor couples.
Each engaged couple getting married at St. Augustine is assigned a married
sponsor couple who meets with them and discusses issues that will affect their
relationship as husband and wife.
Also included in this section are handouts that are given to engage couple to
