Policy For Students Attending
New Albany Deanery Schools

The Catholic Community of Jeffersonville supports Catholic education. Our families are expected to pay New Albany Deanery elementary school tuition. It is because of this support that the Faith Formation Commission finds it necessary to initiate the following policy:

1. Families must be registered, active members of St. Augustine Parish for at least one year. (An active member is defined as one who participates in the parish stewardship by giving of their time, talents, and treasure to St. Augustine parish.)
   
   
2. St. Augustine families will be charged tuition to attend any New Albany Deanery elementary school. St. Augustine parish will subsidize the school per student from St. Augustine as follows:

• $1200 for the first child in the family,
• $540 for the second, and
• $300 for each child thereafter.

No family member will eligible for subsidy if added to the list after September 1st of each calendar year. families who move to this area from outside the New Albany Deanery may be considered for exception to this rule on a per-family basis.

3. Families who maintain dual parish memberships will be ineligible for this subsidy afforded St. Augustine Parish members.
   
   
4. St. Augustine Parish will continue financial support of New Albany Deanery elementary schools as long as funds are available for Catholic elementary school education.
   
   
5. This policy is effective immediately. This policy will be reviewed annually.

adopt-a-child

The Faith Formation Commission is sensitive to the needs and expenses of all families. If a parishioner contacts the parish administrator of religious education requesting assistance with elementary school tuition payments, the administrator will run this request in the parish bulletin and/or the parish newsletter to raise the needed funds. This request will be titled, "adopt-a-child". All names of donors and recipients will remain anonymous.

Policy For Students Attending
Our Lady of Providence Junior and Senior High Schools

The Catholic Community of Jeffersonville supports Catholic Education. Each year, St. Augustine Parish is assessed a significant dollar amount to support Our Lady of Providence Junior and Senior High Schools. In return for this financial contribution, members of St. Augustine Parish who attend Our Lady of Providence Junior or Senior High Schools pay a discounted rate of tuition. It is because of this support that the Faith Formation Commission finds it necessary to initiate the following policy:

1. Families with one or more children attending Our Lady of Providence Junior High School and/or Our Lady of Providence Senior High School will be eligible for the discounted rate of tuition given to member families if the family has maintained active parish membership for a minimum of one (1) calendar year. (An active member is defined, as one who participates in the parish stewardship by giving of their time, talents, and treasure to St. Augustine Parish).
   
   
2. Families with one or more children attending Our Lady of Providence Junior High School and/or Our Lady of Providence Senior High School will be ineligible for the discounted rate of tuition if the participation in parish stewardship is discontinued for three (3) calendar months.
   
   
3. Families who maintain dual parish memberships will be ineligible for this subsidy afforded St. Augustine Parish members.
   
   
4. This policy is effective immediately. This policy will be reviewed annually.
